Create multi-year Profit & Loss budgets to plan and compare income, expenses, and profits over a 3-year period.

Craete P&L Budget

Users can create and manage a Profit & Loss Budget for up to 3 years, helping plan and track income, expenses, and net profit over time. This feature supports forward-looking financial planning and performance comparisons against actuals.


​Step by Step

1. Navigate to the "P/L Budget" section from the main menu.

2. Click "Create Budget" to start a new budget entry.

3. Enter a Budget Name for easy identification.

4. Select the appropriate Financial Year for the budget.

5. Click "Next" to proceed to account-level input.

6. For each account you select, a new row will appear for monthly data entry.

7. Enter estimated values for each month across the row.

8. At the end of the row, click "Save" to record that account's budget.

9. Repeat the process for all relevant accounts to complete the budget setup.


P&L Budget Analsis

The Profit & Loss (P&L) Budget Analysis feature helps businesses monitor financial performance by comparing actual income and profit against expected (budgeted) values. It provides both month-to-month and year-to-year (YoY) insights, enabling informed decision-making and better financial control.


​Accessing and Exporting Profit & Loss Budget Analysis

1. Navigate to the "P/L Analysis" section.

2. Choose your preferred analysis view: Month-to-Month or Yearly with Monthly Breakdown.

3. Use the Export options to download your analysis as a PDF or Excel file for reporting or review.


Sales dashboard

Sales Growth Chart

  • Displays actual sales (in value or %) across the months of the selected year.

  • Used to monitor trends and seasonal fluctuations.

  • Example: Highest revenue recorded in June 2025.

Sales vs Target Chart

  • Compares actual sales to set monthly targets using color indicators:

    • Blue: Achieved β‰₯100% of target

    • Yellow: Between 90–99% of target

    • Red: Below 90% of target

    • Grey: Target line for reference

  • Helps managers and finance teams assess performance vs budgeted expectations.

Accessing the Sales Dashboard in NuMetric

1. Navigate to the "Sales Dashboard" section.

2. Choose the Chart Type you wish to view (e.g., bar, line, pie) to visualize your sales performance clearly.
