Create a New Order
Creating a new order in Now8 POS is fast and intuitive. Start by clicking “New Order” and entering the customer’s details—or proceed as a guest. Once submitted, you’ll access a full product catalog where you can add items to the cart using favorites, a searchable item list, or a barcode scanner. Choose the order type (pickup or home delivery) and select a payment method, including online options if your SMS and payment setup is active. You can apply discount codes if configured in NuMetric. For delivery orders, address details are required before finalizing. Once complete, issue a cash sales invoice and send it via email, print, or SMS.
Step by Step:
1. Click "New Order" from the left-side menu.
2. Fill in the customer details:
Country Code
Mobile Number
First Name
Last Name
Email Address
3. Alternatively, click "Continue as Guest" to skip personal details.
4. After submitting, the order screen opens showing all items available for sale via the POS.
Ways to Add Items to Cart
5. Favorites List: Select directly from your saved items.
6. Add New Items:
A pop-up will appear listing all items.
Use search or browse, then click "Add to Cart".
7. Barcode Scanner:
Click "Click to Scan Barcodes" to activate.
Scanner remains active (button turns red) until clicked again to stop.
Checkout Process
8. Select Order Type:
a) Pick-up in Store
b) Home Delivery
9. Select Payment Method:
a) Cash
b) Card
c) Wallet
d) On Delivery
e) Online Payment
⚠️ Important for Online Payments:
You must have:
An active Online Payment Merchant Account
An active SMS Package
Customers must provide a mobile number (guest checkout not supported) to receive the payment link, which remains valid for 30 minutes.
Apply Discounts
10. If applicable, enter and apply a Coupon Code.
💡 Note:
Discounts are managed only via NuMetric’s Sales Settings page. Coupons apply to the full invoice amount.
Home Delivery Orders
11. If Home Delivery is selected: A window will prompt you to Add Delivery Address.
Finalize the Order
12. Once all items and details are filled in, click "Complete Order" to issue a Cash Sales Invoice.
13. You can:
Print the Invoice
Or click "Send Invoice" to email it
💡 Note:
With an active SMS package, invoices can also be sent via SMS.
