Bundled Products

  • These are products created by combining multiple items (or items with variants).

  • Bundled products allow us to define a combination of components that are sold or used together.

How to Create a Bundled Product

  1. Create the Product

    • Go to the product creation screen (as shown in the image).

    • Fill in product details like name, category, account, and selling price.

    • Set "I sell this" to Yes.

    • Fill: SKU, and HSN Code if applicable.

    • Complete by select: account, category and unit

  2. Choose Manual or Auto Run

    • Manual Production: Stock is created when you run a production manually.

    • Auto Run: Stock is auto-produced per sale.

  3. Bundled Items Configuration

    • Scroll to Bundled Items and click Add a Line.

    • Add the components (ingredients) that form this nested product.

  4. Save the Product

  5. Run Manual Production

    • Select the nested product.

    • Enter quantity to produce and click Run.

    • The system will deduct components and add the nested bundle to inventory.

Fill Stock Details

Use the Stock Details section to enter the opening stock quantity, effective date, and low stock alert level for a product.

  • Opening Stock: Quantity of the item already available in your store when starting with NuMetric.

  • As of Date: The date this stock was physically available and should match your Opening Balances Journal Voucher (JV) entry.

  • Low Stock Below: Set a threshold to receive alerts when the item’s stock falls below this level.

For Bundled Products Created Before NuMetric:
If this product was already in stock before activating NuMetric or Inventory Plus, add the opening quantity here, and ensure its total value was included in the Opening Balances JV to avoid discrepancies in inventory valuation.

Bundled Products with Variants

  • These are bundled products that have variations (e.g., a gift box that comes in different sizes or with different color themes).

  • Variants are managed similarly to how they are for individual items, but at the level of the bundle.

How to Add Variants to a Bundled Product

  1. Go to Item Options (Right Side Panel)
Use the "Item Options" section to define the variant attributes:

    • Select a type (e.g., Text or Color).

    • Enter the title (e.g., Size, Color, Flavor).

    • Click “+” to add option values (e.g., Small, Medium, Large).

  2. Add Multiple Variant Attributes
You can define multiple attributes (e.g., Size + Color) and multiple values under each. The system will auto-generate all possible combinations as variants.

  3. Stock & Pricing per Variant
After saving, you’ll be able to define stock details, item codes, and prices for each variant individually.

✅ This structure allows bundled products to be customized for sale while still linking back to their core components for inventory and COGS tracking.

NuMetric Logic:
When a user creates an Item (Product for Sale), the system automatically generates two accounts:

- Asset Account: Under "Inventory"

- Expense Account: Under "Cost of Goods Sold" (COGS)

- The user also selects the income account associated with the item's sales.
