Nested Bundled Products

  • Nested bundles are essentially bundled products created manually using (Manual Production Run) other items.

  • These nested bundles are treated as standalone items in the inventory, meaning they can be sold alone, used in other bundled product creations (including their variants).

  • They follow the same logic and structure as regular bundled products but in manual production run processes avoiding loops in validations and runs.

How to Create a Nested Bundled Product

  1. Create the Product

    • Go to the product creation screen (as shown in the image).

    • Fill in product details like name, category, account, and selling price.

    • Set "I sell this" to Yes.

    • Fill: SKU, and HSN Code if applicable.

    • Complete by select: account, category and unit

  2. Bundled Items Configuration

    • Scroll to Bundled Items and click Add a Line.

    • Add the components (ingredients) that form this nested product.

  3. Save the Product

  4. Run Manual Production

    • Select the nested product.

    • Enter quantity to produce and click Run.

    • The system will deduct components and add the nested bundle to inventory.

This item can now be:

  • Sold directly

  • Used in other bundled products.

Fill Stock Details

Use the Stock Details section to enter the opening stock quantity, effective date, and low stock alert level for a product.

  • Opening Stock: Quantity of the item already available in your store when starting with NuMetric.

  • As of Date: The date this stock was physically available and should match your Opening Balances Journal Voucher (JV) entry.

  • Low Stock Below: Set a threshold to receive alerts when the item’s stock falls below this level.

For Nested Bundled Products Created Before NuMetric:
If this product was already in stock before activating NuMetric or Inventory Plus, add the opening quantity here, and ensure its total value was included in the Opening Balances JV to avoid discrepancies in inventory valuation.

NuMetric Logic:
When a user creates an Item (Product for Sale), the system automatically generates two accounts:

- Asset Account: Under "Inventory"

- Expense Account: Under "Cost of Goods Sold" (COGS)

- The user also selects the income account associated with the item's sales.
